Introduction
The UK has one of the largest and longest-established Pakistani diasporas, and it is a major source of remittances to Pakistan. Uniquely among non-Gulf countries, the UK has its own prize region under Pasban, separate from the rest of Europe.

Remittance context from the UK
The United Kingdom region receives 15% of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes — the same share as the whole of continental Europe. Recipients of UK remittances also compete for the all-region First Prize.
Eligibility explained for families of United Kingdom-based Pakistanis
The rules are the same for every country. The person in Pakistan becomes eligible for a quarter’s draw when their account receives a home remittance worth at least USD 100 in each of the three months of that quarter. No UAE-, Gulf- or country-specific rules have been published.
In GBP: The pound floats against the dollar, so the GBP amount equal to USD 100 changes daily. Check the current rate — and allow a margin for provider fees and rates.
- Credited directly into a personal account or participating wallet in Pakistan (single or joint)
- Account at a participating bank
- Pakistani-rupee account — not a Roshan Digital or foreign-currency account
- Free and automatic — no registration, ticket or fee

Formal remittance channels in the UK
In the UK, send through a bank or a money-transfer provider authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (you can check a firm on the FCA register). Choose “bank deposit” to the recipient’s Pakistani account or participating wallet, not cash collection.
- Avoid informal “hundi” services, which earn nothing and can put your money at risk.
- Use the recipient’s IBAN and exact account name.
Licensed providers in the UK are supervised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This website does not recommend specific providers.
Practical tips
Because sterling floats, a fixed GBP transfer can be worth slightly more or less than USD 100 from month to month. If your usual transfer is close to the threshold, adding a margin helps it stay above USD 100 after conversion. Also remember the time difference when sending at month-end.
The UK is four hours behind Pakistan in summer (BST) and five in winter (GMT). The scheme counts a remittance in the month it is processed in Pakistan.
Regional prize allocation
Remittances from the UK are in the United Kingdom region. Per draw, that region’s pool includes 3 second prizes (PKR 25M), 15 third prizes (PKR 10M) and 357 fourth prizes (PKR 1M), according to the official terms for the first two draws. The PKR 100 million First Prize is drawn from all regions together.
Draw information
The first draw is on 15 January 2027 and covers remittances received from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Results are announced on the draw day without personal details, and winners are contacted by their own bank. See draw dates.
FAQs for United Kingdom
Is the UK counted as part of Europe?
No. The UK is a separate region with 15% of regional prizes; Europe has its own 15%.
I’m a British Pakistani — can I win?
Senders cannot win. The prize goes to the beneficiary in Pakistan who receives the remittance into an eligible account.
How do I know a UK transfer company is legitimate?
Check that it is authorised on the FCA register. For Pasban, it must also deliver the money directly into an account at a participating bank in Pakistan.
How many prizes are there for the United Kingdom?
Under the official terms, for the first two draws the United Kingdom region has 3 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 357 fourth prizes per draw. The First Prize is open to all regions.
Where can I verify this?
