Introduction
Canada’s Pakistani community has grown quickly, and many families in Pakistan receive regular support from relatives in the GTA, Alberta, Quebec and British Columbia. Pasban can reward the recipient of that support when it arrives through formal channels.

Eligibility explained for families of Canada-based Pakistanis
The rules are the same for every country. The person in Pakistan becomes eligible for a quarter’s draw when their account receives a home remittance worth at least USD 100 in each of the three months of that quarter. No UAE-, Gulf- or country-specific rules have been published.
In CAD: The Canadian dollar floats against the US dollar, so the CAD amount equal to USD 100 changes daily. Check the current rate and allow a margin.
- Credited directly into a personal account or participating wallet in Pakistan (single or joint)

Formal remittance channels in Canada
In Canada, money services businesses must register with FINTRAC, and banks also offer international transfers. Choose a provider that credits the money directly to the recipient’s Pakistani bank account or participating wallet.
- Choose bank deposit over cash pickup.
- Confirm the receiving bank is on the participating list.
Licensed providers in Canada are supervised by FINTRAC (money services business registration). This website does not recommend specific providers.
Practical tips
Because the threshold is in US dollars and you pay in Canadian dollars, exchange movements plus provider fees can push a borderline transfer below USD 100 once credited. Build in a margin, and send well before month-end given the time difference.
Pakistan is 9–10 hours ahead of Toronto and 12–13 hours ahead of Vancouver. The scheme counts a remittance in the month it is processed in Pakistan.
Regional prize allocation
Remittances from Canada are in the North America region. Per draw, that region’s pool includes 2 second prizes (PKR 25M), 10 third prizes (PKR 10M) and 238 fourth prizes (PKR 1M), according to the official terms for the first two draws. The PKR 100 million First Prize is drawn from all regions together.
Draw information
The first draw is on 15 January 2027 and covers remittances received from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Results are announced on the draw day without personal details, and winners are contacted by their own bank. See draw dates.
