Introduction
Qatar hosts a sizeable Pakistani community working in construction, services, transport and professional roles. Money sent home from Qatar can qualify the family member who receives it for Pasban’s quarterly draws, as long as it is sent formally and credited into an eligible account.

Remittance context from Qatar
Remittances from Qatar count towards the GCC region. Because the Qatari riyal is pegged to the dollar, it is easy to work out the threshold: about QAR 364 per month, plus a margin for fees and conversion.
Eligibility explained for families of Qatar-based Pakistanis
The rules are the same for every country. The person in Pakistan becomes eligible for a quarter’s draw when their account receives a home remittance worth at least USD 100 in each of the three months of that quarter. No UAE-, Gulf- or country-specific rules have been published.
In QAR: The Qatari riyal is pegged at QAR 3.64 per USD, so USD 100 is about QAR 364.

Formal remittance channels in Qatar
In Qatar, remittances are sent through banks and licensed exchange houses regulated by the Qatar Central Bank, including through their mobile apps. Choose the option that deposits directly into the recipient’s bank account or participating wallet in Pakistan.
- Ask the exchange house for account credit rather than cash collection.
- Make sure the receiving bank is on the participating list.
Licensed providers in Qatar are supervised by the Qatar Central Bank (QCB). This website does not recommend specific providers.
Practical tips
A regular monthly transfer to the same account is what the three-month rule needs. If you change the receiving account part-way through a quarter, neither account may meet the rule for that quarter.
Qatar is two hours behind Pakistan (AST, UTC+3). The scheme counts a remittance in the month it is processed in Pakistan.
Regional prize allocation
Remittances from Qatar are in the GCC region. Per draw, that region’s pool includes 10 second prizes (PKR 25M), 50 third prizes (PKR 10M) and 1,190 fourth prizes (PKR 1M), according to the official terms for the first two draws. The PKR 100 million First Prize is drawn from all regions together.
Draw information
The first draw is on 15 January 2027 and covers remittances received from 1 October to 31 December 2026. Results are announced on the draw day without personal details, and winners are contacted by their own bank. See draw dates.
FAQs for Qatar
Can I split one month’s money between my parents’ two accounts?
You can, but eligibility is checked separately for each account. If one account receives less than USD 100 in any month of the quarter, that account earns no tokens for the quarter.
Is there a Qatar-specific prize?
No. Qatar is part of the GCC region for the 2nd–4th prizes, and every region competes for the First Prize.
Will my family be told if they get tokens?
According to the terms, banks inform customers about tokens through their usual channels, such as SMS, app, email or statement.
How many prizes are there for the GCC?
Under the official terms, for the first two draws the GCC region has 10 second prizes, 50 third prizes and 1,190 fourth prizes per draw. The First Prize is open to all regions.
