Pakistanis in the UAE send a large share of the money that reaches Pakistani households. Under the Pasban scheme, that money can now put the recipient in the running for quarterly cash prizes. Here is what UAE senders should know.
The prize goes to your family, not you
Pasban rewards the beneficiary in Pakistan. As a sender, you are not a participant — but your choices decide whether your family qualifies.
Three things to get right from the UAE
- Account credit, not cash pickup. Ask your exchange house or app to deposit to the recipient’s account or participating wallet.
- At least USD 100 every month. At the dirham peg that is about AED 367 — send a little more to allow for fees and conversion.
- A participating bank. Check the bank list.
Where UAE remittances sit in the prize draw
Remittances from the UAE fall in the GCC region, which receives half of the regional prizes. For the first two draws, the GCC pool includes 10 second prizes, 50 third prizes and 1,190 fourth prizes per draw, according to the official terms. The PKR 100 million first prize is open to every region.
No UAE-specific rules
No separate rules for UAE-based senders have been published. The same eligibility applies everywhere.
