Regional prize allocation

To spread prizes across remittance corridors, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes are drawn separately within five regions, based on the country the remittance was sent from. The First Prize is open to beneficiaries receiving remittances from all regions.

Are prizes taxed?

Yes. Prize amounts are gross. The paying bank deducts tax at source under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 at the rate applicable to you on the payment date, credits the net amount and gives you a certificate of tax deducted. Your rate may depend on your tax-filer status; ask your bank or a tax adviser.

How prizes are paid

  1. Your own bank contacts you through the contact details held on your account to tell you about a provisional selection.
  2. The bank verifies the remittance, your identity (KYC), the account status and your eligibility. It may ask for a CNIC/NICOP copy, a declaration, or a branch visit.
  3. After verification, the prize (net of tax) is credited to the winning account in rupees.
  • Prizes cannot be transferred to another person or account, or taken in any other form.
  • There are no cars, goods or non-cash prizes. Anyone offering them in the scheme’s name is not authorised.
  • One prize per account per draw; a winning account stays eligible for later draws.
  • Unpaid prizes (for example after failed verification or no response) go back to the prize pool for a later draw.
You will never pay to receive a prizeNo fee, tax “advance”, processing charge or deposit is ever required. Tax is deducted by the bank from the prize itself.
